Sports

+          The JV volleyball team experienced alot of positives on Saturday but unfortunately they didn't equate to enough tally marks in the win column to move on to bracket play.  The morning began with a loss to Onsted, then a split with Hillsdale Academy, and a loss to Madison with a second game 20-21 loss.  The day would conclude with a win against Jackson Christian in the consolation match.  The girls had an outstanding day from the service line as the team served 95% and only missed 6 serves all day.  Unfortunately, 4 of them were in the Hillsdale Academy match which would be the team that advanced in a head to head tie ahead of the girls.  Mikayla Reincke continues to impress from the line as she was a perfect 25/25 with 5 aces.  Mikayla Price led the team with 10 aces and 28 service points on the day.  14 of those were served consecutively against Jackson Christian in a lopsided 25-7 win.  Offensively, Ana Roseman continues to improve her hitting consistency and led the team with 11 kills.  Cheyenne Stone would add 6.  Everyone knows the offense begins in the back row with solid passing, and on Saturday, it would continue to be Darian Double and Mikayla Price who would lead the team in digs with 36 and 23 respectively.  17 of Doubles came in the Madison match.

+          In undoubtibly the second worse performance of the year (just guessing maybe we have played worse once), the Fayette Eagles had a field day against the JV team.  Ana Roseman was 13/14 hitting with 4 kills.  The End.

+              In cross country action last week, the middle school team traveled to the Sand Creek Junior High Invitational. Walker Whitehouse led the team with a PR of 12:27 on the 2-mile course, taking 4th overall. Aiden Dominique also earned a 4th place medal in the 5th-6th race with a time of 12:54. Also finishing strong for the Bulldogs was Wyatt Keller who PR'd with a time of 13:52, earning 18th place.

The girls were led by Madison Martinez who ran a PR of 14:22, earning 13th place; she was followed by Madison Keller who finished in 20th place with a PR of 15:06.

All of the top runners received medals in Sand Creek.

Stay tuned until tomorrow for the results of this weekend's Varsity and junior high meets at Hudson.
